Engineered Thermoplastic Media
Our line of engineered thermoplastic media is available in a range of sizes, shapes and colors to fit specific deflashing needs. Deflashing can be done on molded rubber, or plastic and die cast parts at higher wheel speeds due to tremendous impact strength.
- Blas-Tic® (BT)
- Cryogenic Grade® (CG)
- Polyamide Cylindrical® (PAC)
- Polycarbonate® (PC)
- Polyamide Cubical® (PA)
- Spherical Polystyrene® (PB)
Blast-Tic® Medium (BT)Type: Engineered Plastic Shape: Cylindrical Common Applications: Deflashing rubber and plastic parts Deburring of metals |
|
Cryogenic Grade® Medium (CG)Type: Engineered Plastic Shape: Cylindrical Common Applications: Non-abrasive cleaning – cylindrical shape provides effective deflashing of all types of molded rubber parts Low temperature/high RPM shot-blast deflashing |
|
Polyamide Cylindrical® Medium (PAC)Type: Engineered Plastic Shape: Cylindrical Common Applications: Excellent deflashing results on thermoset parts Deburring of machined die-cast parts Used effectively in both air-blast and wheel-blast machinery |
|
Polycarbonate® Medium (PC)Type: Engineered Plastic Shape: Cylindrical Common Applications: Non-abrasive cleaning, excellent results on thermoset parts Deburring of machined die-cast parts Used effectively in both air-blast and wheel-blast machinery |
|
Cubical Polyamide® Medium (PA)Type: Engineered Plastic Shape: Cubical Common Applications: Non-abrasive cleaning, excellent results on thermoset parts Used effectively in both air-blast and wheel-blast machinery |
|
Spherical Polystyrene® Medium (PB)Type: Engineered Plastic Shape: Spherical Common Applications: Non-abrasive, spherical shape provides excellent results when deflashing sensitive electronic components or delicate rubber parts Very effective deflashing of gold-plated leads while not-harming the plating Can be used to remove flashes on products printed in 3D printers |
